Exeter Stroke Singing Group was first set up in June 2015 for stroke survivors living in Exeter and the surrounding area. Singing as part of a group is a great way to boost wellbeing and increase confidence following a stroke.
Friendly faces at Exeter Stroke Singing Group: Jenney, Diane, Wendy, Julie, Naomi, Peter and Eric
Having initially been created with the support of the Stroke Association, the group is now completely independent: fundraising activities including concerts and coffee mornings cover most of the costs, and attendees are invited to contribute a small voluntary donation of £3 at the session.
No singing experience is needed, just a love of music and songs of any or all genres. Take a look at our recent repertoire list! Naomi plans each session according to what the group is enjoying at the time, incorporating any particular song requests from individuals within the group, and with a wide variety of repertoire including uplifting music to boost our spirits for days afterwards!
We meet at:
St Sidwell’s Community Centre, Sidwell Street, Exeter, Devon EX4 6NN.
11am to 12.30pm
Every third Wednesday of the month.
